Ifrane’s Learning Festival 2025: A Celebration of Innovation and Knowledge at Al Akhawayn University
The Learning Festival 2025 took place on May 9–10 at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) , under the theme “Expanding Horizons and Empowering Minds.”
Organized by the SSE (School of Science and Engineering) at AUI, this event brought together students, faculty, and industry leaders.
It offered a dynamic program blending scientific exhibitions, project presentations, information sessions, and recruitment opportunities — all tailored to benefit SSE students.
The Role of the SSE in Fostering Innovation
The festival highlighted key initiatives led by the SSE , including student-led senior projects, undergraduate research, and collaborative efforts between students, faculty, and industry partners.
One of the main features was the Speed Job Dating session. It allowed companies to meet pre-screened graduates directly — going beyond what a resume can show.
In addition, there was a contract signing ceremony for selected students, supported by major tech firms like Oracle R&D Center.
Key Components of the SSE-Led Festival
Senior Project Presentations
These were the highlight of the event. They showed how SSE students apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems using innovative technological applications.
Undergraduate Research Day on Quantum Machine Learning (QML)
This session, organized by the SSE , explored the intersection of quantum computing and artificial intelligence. It emphasized how these fields are shaping future technologies.
Information Sessions
Led by experts from Oracle R&D Center, these sessions gave students insights into current trends in science and engineering.
URS Presentation
The SSE also introduced the Ecole de Recherche de Premier Cycle (URS) . This initiative helps students develop applied research skills. It guides them in creating solutions to industrial and managerial challenges.
During the festival, 44 students presented their research and feasibility studies. Around 20 to 30 were selected based on the quality of their work and dedication.
